Celtic Complete Double With Scottish Cup Win Over Rangers

Celtic complete double with Scottish Cup win over Rangers

Adam Idah's 90th-minute strike seals victory for Hoops

Celtic have completed a domestic double after winning the Scottish Cup with a 2-1 victory over Rangers at Hampden Park.

Matt O'Riley gave Celtic the lead in the first half, but John Lundstram equalised for Rangers after the break. It looked as though the game was heading for extra-time, but Idah popped up with a dramatic winner in the 90th minute to seal the victory for Celtic.

The win means that Celtic have now won the Scottish Cup for the 41st time, moving them one ahead of Rangers in the all-time standings. It is also the fourth time that Celtic have won the double under manager Brendan Rodgers.

Celtic were the better side in the first half and deservedly took the lead through O'Riley. The midfielder finished off a fine move by Celtic, firing home from close range.

Rangers came out stronger in the second half and equalised through Lundstram. The midfielder headed home from a corner to give Rangers hope of a comeback.

However, Celtic were not to be denied and Idah popped up with a dramatic winner in the 90th minute. The striker fired home from close range after good work from substitute Liel Abada.

The win will be a huge boost for Celtic as they look to challenge for the Scottish Premiership title next season. It is also a sign of the progress that has been made under Rodgers, who has now won four trophies in his time at Celtic.
