Celtic Rangers Highlights 3 2

Celtic triumph in Old Firm thriller

Kyogo Furuhashi scores twice as Hoops edge out Rangers 3-2

Celtic extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to 12 points with a dramatic 3-2 win over Rangers in the Old Firm derby.

Kyogo Furuhashi was the hero for the Hoops, scoring two goals in the first half to give his side a 2-0 lead. James Tavernier pulled one back for Rangers with a stunning free-kick, but Jota restored Celtic's two-goal advantage before half-time.

Rangers captain Tavernier scored again in the second half to set up a tense finish, but Celtic held on to secure a vital victory.

The win moves Celtic 12 points clear of Rangers at the top of the table with just six games remaining. It also gives them a major psychological boost ahead of the Scottish Cup semi-final between the two sides next month.

For Rangers, the defeat was a major blow to their title hopes. They now trail Celtic by a significant margin and will need to win all of their remaining games to have any chance of catching their rivals.

The Old Firm derby is one of the most passionate and intense rivalries in world football, and this latest encounter was no different. The atmosphere at Celtic Park was electric, and the players from both sides gave everything on the pitch.

Celtic will now be confident of going on to win the Scottish Premiership title, while Rangers will be looking to bounce back and secure a Europa League place.
